Main Skill Set: REQUIRED experience:

• *Profound insight of Scala Internals (Class loading Memory Management Concurrency Futures Multithreading.)
• *Building low-latency & high volume distributed scalable and reliable backend systems
• *RESTFul APIs Preferred experience:
• *AWS
• *Cats Effect Http4s Fs2 Akka
• *Spring
• *Frontend experience a plus
• *Deere experience a plus

Job Description:
Works on a product team and supports product design by planning its work coordinating with others and writing and testing code to deliver functionality for the complete product or products it supports. This level designs complex parts of a system or works on a complete product of broad scope and solves well-defined problems with little guidance. Recognized as an expert user of critical technology and develops new software functionality for product development.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop scalable backend software within an agile team using TDD
Develop Scala/Java applications running in an AWS environment
Develop code configure and test programs and systems
Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost quality and performance
Analyze assignments and determine software specifications to achieve objectives
Execute necessary documentation as needed
Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure features meet business needs
Follow agile software design methodology for development and documentation
Mentor junior software engineers and provide technical coaching
Support product design by planning work and coordinating with others

Required Skills:
5 years hands-on experience with Scala
Profound insight of Scala internals (Class loading Memory Management Concurrency Futures Multithreading)
Experience building low-latency high volume distributed scalable and reliable backend systems
Experience with RESTFul APIs
Strong verbal communication skills with ability to explain thought process and problem solving
Experience working in Agile development environments
Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into technical solutions

AWS Cloud experience
Experience with Cats Effect Http4s Fs2 Akka
Experience with Spring
Frontend experience is a plus
Deere experience is a plus
Experience in product design testing and analysis
Degree in Engineering Technology or Information Technology or equivalent experience
