Job Responsibilites/Description

  • Assume the responsibility of the principalship in the absence of the principal.
  • Assist the faculty in maintaining discipline and report major infractions to the principal.
  • Assist the principal in providing instructional leadership and supervision.
  • Make recommendations to the principal for the improvement of the educational program guidance services and pupil activities.
  • Assist the principal in the preparation of annual reports.
  • Assist in the orientation of new teachers and staff.
  • Collaboratively develop and implement a shared vision and mission.
  • Collect and use data to identify goals assess organizational effectiveness and promote organization learning.
  • Create and implement plans to achieve goals and promote continuous and sustainable improvement; monitor and evaluate progress and revise plans.
  • Nurture and sustain a culture of collaboration trust learning and high expectations.
  • Create a comprehensive rigorous and coherent curricular program that will be personalized and motive student learning.
  • Supervise instruction and monitor supervision of students.
  • Develop assessment and accountability systems to monitor student progress
  • Develop the instructional and leadership capacity of staff.
  • Maximize time spent on quality instruction.
  • Promote the use of the most effective and appropriate technologies to support teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of the instructional program.
  • Obtain allocate align and efficiently utilize human fiscal and technological resources.
  • Promote and protect the welfare and safety of students and staff.
  • Ensure teacher and organization time is focused to support quality instruction and student learning.
  • Collaborate with families and stakeholders; build and sustain positive relationships with families caregivers and community partners.
  • Ensure a system of accountability for every students academic and social success
  • Model principles of self-awareness reflective practice transparency and ethical behavior.
  • Safeguard the values of democracy equity and diversity.
  • Consider and evaluate the potential moral and legal consequences of decision making; promote social justice.
  • Provide professional leadership and growth among the faculty. Manage faculty staff and finances effectively.
  • Monitor the operation and maintenance of the school building including the proper care of school property and equipment. Direct the custodial staff and be responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the building.
  • Execute the policies of the Benton School District and carry out directions of the Superintendent.
  • Assist to supervise all extracurricular activities of the school and coordinate activities with other schools of the Benton School District.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Superintendent Assistant Superintendent and/or Building Principal.
