Job Summary

Position Summary:
The campus Instructional Aide assists school staff with accelerated student instruction in such a way to
facilitate achievement of the schools goals.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Texas Paraprofessional Certificate or ability to obtain upon hire
Must meet 1 of the 2 following criteria: Associates degree OR 60 credit hours from an accredited
institution of higher learning
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Ability to work well with children parents and school staff
Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
Knowledge of general office equipment
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English
Ability to speak Spanish (preferred)
Responsibilities and Duties:
Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional activities as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed.
Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required.
Assist in inventory care and maintenance of equipment as assigned.
Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations.
Participate in staff development programs faculty meetings and special events as required.
Other duties as assigned.
