Leo is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Key job responsibilities
- Follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Assemble and test with emphasis to detail an assortment of LRUs electrical-mechanical assemblies avionics or other complex aerospace builds
- Participate in process improvements maintain floor stock inventory
- You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
- Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
- Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
- Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks kit carts etc)
- Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $38.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. The MFG Technician III will identify process improvements to improve build efficiency. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on both early hardware development and setting the stage for later production hardware manufacturing processes. The successful candidate thrives in a fast paced start-up like environment and are able to apply their technical expertise leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact team metrics and organization goals. With some tasks you may be an individual contributor but may also work in a group environment to achieve organizational goals. This group of Technicians thrive by working as a team with common goals. We are scaling up production and building a strong Lean and Six sigma culture.
- 3 years of hardware development test lab space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the aerospace industry automotive industry medical device industry aviation military or other high-reliability operating / manufacturing environment
- Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
- Knowledge of engineering documentation electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures
- 3 years of satellite communications ground systems and operations experience
- Experience with precision torque measurement and inspection devices (i.e. automated and manual torque wrenches calipers micrometers profilometers optical inspection devices multi-meters torque wrenches)
- Experience working with FOD ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements

The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
