Hybrid 3x/wk in Orlando FL - Azure Cloud Engineer III (Networking/Firewall)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience administering cloud firewall platforms such as Azure Firewall and/or Azure Firewall Premium and related network security services in an enterprise or higher education environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including virtual networks (VNets) Network Security Groups User Defined Routes Private Endpoints ExpressRoute VPN Gateways and Azure Virtual WAN.
- Experience with next-generation firewall technologies and concepts such as intrusion prevention encrypted traffic inspection threat intelligence URL/category filtering and application-level filtering.
- Experience with web application firewall (WAF) policy administration and tuning in partnership with application teams.
- Exposure to load balancing/application delivery concepts including health probes persistence TLS termination and resilience patterns.
- Experience with infrastructure automation technologies including Terraform Bicep ARM templates or Ansible.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or Python for cloud automation.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
- Familiarity with security monitoring and log analytics platforms for alerting investigation and reporting.
- Understanding of general networking and firewalling concepts including TCP/IP routing NAT DNS TLS and software-defined networking.
- Exposure to multicloud environments and hybrid connectivity patterns.
- Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles and regulatory frameworks relevant to higher education (e.g. HIPAA FERPA PCI-DSS NIST 800-171).
- Relevant industry certifications related to cloud networking and/or cloud security or equivalent.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts both written and verbally and to develop clear technical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical teams and with non-technical stakeholders in a complex distributed environment.
