Job Summary
Join Exxaro Resources as a Senior Associate Energy in Centurion Gauteng. Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the origination structuring and execution of renewable energy projects through effective project finance principles and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Engage in business development by participating in the lifecycle of energy project development including site procurement permitting deal structuring and project financing.
- Conduct due diligence negotiation and execution of multidisciplinary renewable energy transactions and ensure successful project closing.
- Develop strong internal and external networks partnerships and alliances to support the growth and execution of energy projects.
- Prepare and present materials for board investment committee and credit committee meetings to support decision-making processes.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and assess potential risks for Exxaros energy initiatives.
- Lead multidisciplinary advisory teams and manage multiple workstreams to ensure timely and compliant project execution.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and uphold high safety standards by promoting a culture focused on safety and excellence.
- Perform financial management by monitoring the financial performance of projects and ensuring alignment with budgeted goals.
Minimum Requirements
- BCom (Hons) in Finance Economics (Essential/Minimum or)
- BSc. (Hons) in Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
- B Degree (Hons) (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
- Direct experience in project finance within the power industry with emphasis on renewable energy
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently
- Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation and procurement of multidisciplinary advisory teams
- Proven experience in debt and equity capital raising for renewable energy projects
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Experience in preparing board investment committee and credit committee materials
- Track record of structuring and financing large-scale renewable energy projects
