JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing planning organizing and implementing a virtual instructional program for students through curriculum lesson plans and educational programs while ensuring that all procedures are followed to meet federal state and local regulations. This role is considered hybrid which means the employee will work a portion of their contract time from a District-designated location and the remainder of their time remotely from a non-District location.
EDUCATION TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- OR
- Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in content area assignedORproof of active enrollment in a state-approved Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) or Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programANDeither a valid Florida state-issued Statement of EligibilityORvalid Temporary Certificate in content area assigned
- Endorsements as required by Florida Department of Education (FLDOE)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years experience in a classroom environment and/or working with children
FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION ONLY
This position may require you to teachan additional periodbeyondyour base contract. Should this occur you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated ratein addition to your base salary for instructing this additional period. This additional amount will be paid as a supplement and will be disbursed in equal payments based on the Districts established payroll calendar for this position. This amount is considered part of your salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.
