Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
5 years of hands-on experience with rental equipment generators or heavy equipment with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead technician role.
Strong working knowledge of diesel engines electrical systems power generation equipment hydraulics and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams schematics service manuals and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualification(s):
Experience with EPG systems including generators transfer switches load banks and paralleling equipment.
Familiarity with DOT OSHA and EPA regulations related to equipment operation and transport.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical training or work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Essential Job Functions:
Diagnose and reduce downtimetroubleshoot and repair rental equipment and EPG assets with accuracy efficiency and safety as top priorities.
Oversee daily workflowcoordinate with the Manager to schedule assign and prioritize work orders to meet customer and operational demands.
Serve as the technical escalation pointsupport technicians with complex diagnostics customer issues vendor coordination and emergency breakdowns.
Ensure safety and complianceverify all equipment meets safety standards regulatory requirements and company policies prior to rental or deployment.
Mentor and develop the teamtrain technicians on best practices diagnostics and repair procedures while promoting teamwork and accountability.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Lead rental and EPG techniciansassign work monitor repairs ensure quality standards and keep the team productive and engaged.
Support fleet reliability and growthassist in planning preventative maintenance equipment upgrades and large-scale repairs or rebuilds.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience using CMMS or rental management systems to open update and close work orders.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations sales and customers.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and push or pull up to 100 lbs climb ladders bend kneel and work in shop and field environments.
Ability to remain focused in fast-paced high-pressure situations and respond effectively to urgent equipment needs.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced service-driven rental and power generation environment.
Occasional nights weekends travel and on-call duty to support customer and emergency power needs.
