A growing Dallas-based reconstruction company is looking for an experienced bookkeeper with hands-on QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise skills to come in on a temporary basis and help get things organized. The company is transitioning its accounting function in-house for the first time and they need someone to get AP and AR aging current process transactions accurately and update a key management spreadsheet the CEO relies on. Theres also an opportunity to do some light knowledge transfer with the internal team as they get up to speed.
What were looking for:
- Solid experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise (this is a must not QB Online)
- Comfortable with AP AR transaction entry and bank reconciliation work
- Construction industry experience is a plus but not required
- Professional dependable and able to work with a small close-knit team
- No degree required demonstrated QB Desktop Enterprise skill is what matters here
The details:
- Location: Las Colinas area now; relocating to the Walnut Hill & Central corridor around April 1
- Hours: Flexible estimated 48 hours per day depending on workload; no rigid start time
- Duration: A few weeks to start with the potential to extend

For additional info / screening questions section Id skip reusing the job posting copy and go with targeted questions that do the filtering work for you right upfront. Something like this:
Screening Questions
- Do you have hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise specifically (Not QuickBooks Online Desktop Enterprise is required for this role.)
- How many years have you worked with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and what types of tasks did you handle AP AR bank recs transaction entry
- Have you worked in a construction or project-based environment before If so did you work with job costing in QuickBooks
- Are you available for contract/temporary work starting as early as the week of March 23 in the Las Colinas/North Dallas area
- What is your hourly rate expectation for contract work
Question 1 is your hard filter anyone who answers no or pivots to QB Online is out immediately. Question 5 saves you a conversation if someone comes in at $65/hr expecting a Big 4 rate. The construction question is a nice-to-have bonus not a dealbreaker but itll surface a gem if one applies.
