A vacancy has arisen for a Warrant Officer/Master Aircrew (Any Profession) to serve as WO A1 Ops Prep and Spt at RAF High Wycombe on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 07 September 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status; however not before 01 July 2026). Flexible working may be available to allow working from an alternate working address (AWA). This is open to negotiation depending on the needs of the Service and individual.
Responsibilities/Objectives:
You are responsible to SO3 Force Support A1 Ops for the following:
Managing the Repatriation Officer team including:
- Creating and issuing Repatriation tasking orders.
- Reviewing and distributing Repatriation policy direction.
- Managing the Repatriation teams stress management and resilience.
- Deputising for SO3 Force Spt in management of repatriation policy MSIs and TORs.
Provide specialist A1 advice and support with regards to the Preparation and welfare support and policy for RAF personnel deployed on operations.
Liaising with Cyber & Specialist Operations Command (CSOC) Permanent Joint Headquarters (PJHQ) Military Strategic Headquarters (MSOC) A35 and other FLCs regarding policy for deploying RAF personnel on operations.
Assisting in creating reviewing and managing all A1 Ops pre-deployment preparation instructions and processes in addition to other pre-deployment information such as AP3392 Vol 2 Leaflet 1511.
Support SO3 Force Spt in conducting A1 Ops assurance visits of Air Component Operations.
Issuing clear direction to units with regard to the deployed welfare support and policy for RAF personnel deployed on operations.
Coordinating POC in A1 Ops for pre-deployment training deficiencies from both Force Generation (FGEN) Overseas and UK.
Responsible managing the A1 Ops website on MoDNet SharePoint direction and guidance on operational deployment policy to all HRCs and devolved HR.
OIC for the Deployed Ops Welfare (DOWF) and deputising for Expeditionary Welfare Fund to all deployed locations including reviewing and monitoring of expenditure.
Maintaining and publicising the A1 Ops Duty Officer Roster on a monthly basis.
Reviewing and staffing any deficiencies reported by Theatre on a quarterly basis. This includes the monitoring of any remedial action through unit Chf Clks and individual SMEs within HQ AIR where necessary.
Management of the Deployed Welfare pack-ups purchase of new equipment and deploying equipment as required.
Maintaining the F540 for A1 Ops.
Producing and distributing the Chf Clk Bulletin.
Any other reasonable duties as directed by SO3 Force Spt SO2 A1 Ops or SO1 A1 Ops.
Undertake the role of A1 Ops Duty Executive as required as part of the duty roster.
