The UK governments UK Infrastructure: A 10 Year Strategy sets out a long-term cross-sector plan to drive economic growth deliver net zero and improve public services. With a 725 billion commitment the strategy prioritises stability private investment and robust delivery across transport energy digital water housing and social infrastructure. Sustainable infrastructure will play a critical role in delivering this strategy. The opportunity
Advising clients on their most complex sustainable infrastructure challenges is a core focus for EY and something that spans multiple sectors and competencies. We are focused on growing our sustainable infrastructure programme focus and large-scale transformation delivery across our wide range of clients within a variety of sectors including Government Transport Energy and Utilities Housing and Telecommunications. We want people who are passionate about sustainability and climate change and who are keen to help clients realise decarbonization and energy transition ambitions.
We are looking to grow our overall presence across the infrastructure sector and be involved in the design development and delivery of significant programmes under the recently published UK Infrastructure 10 Year Strategy.
We are seeking Manager level consultants with experience in leading business change and organisational design in Infrastructure. As a Manager you will be a leader in a client facing team working with leading organisations on the most complex transformation programmes to deliver better business environmental and people outcomes for long-lasting results. Now more than ever clients want to understand how change affects their people. As part of the team you will be skilled at helping clients take a human centred approach to achieve successful transformation. Using the latest innovations you will partner with clients on their biggest challenges to find people-centric solutions that work for their organisation - from implementing culture technology and people change to communication strategies and leadership development.

Your key responsibilities
- Management of EY teams todevelop and implement solutionsto help enable the successful delivery of Infrastructure transformation projects
- Independently analysing complex problemsandpresenting solutionsto clients and the wider team
- Structuring and managing projectsfor transformation programmes including shaping and leading change workstreams or smaller change engagements and projects
- Managing projectcommercialsrisksand issues
- Deliveringpresentations and leading client meetings and workshops withseniorclientsto providerecommendations and solutionsto their problems
- Management of client stakeholders to achieve alignment and buy-into a solutionorparticular direction
- Owning and fosteringtrustedrelationshipswith senior clientsthat contributetoenhancingEYs brand and reputation
- Identifyingfuture opportunities within the client or broader Infrastructure sector
- Providing leadership training coaching and guidance to junior staff
- Contributing tobusiness developmentusingknowledge of theInfrastructuremarket todraft innovative proposals
- Contributing to internal practice development around theInfrastructuremarket in general but also within change and our Workforce Advisory Practice
- Contributing to EYs positioning across the UK (and global) infrastructure market through an active social media presenceandthought leadership development
Skills and attributes for success
- A strong understanding of and interest in the UK Infrastructure sectorincluding HMG commitments such as National Infrastructure Strategy andTen Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution.
- Knowledge ofsustainability and climate change challenges across industries
- Knowledge of one or more of the following sectors: Energy Government Transport Power and Utilities
- Experience working in industrygovernmentor a management consultancy environment
- Ability to analyse data and deliver insightful practical solutions
- Experience ofmanagingteams including internal staffclientsandwiderstakeholders
- Experience of delivering presentations to senior audiences
- Skills and experience in Portfolio Programme and Project Management
- Strong commercialacumen
- Experience of working within both traditional and agile project environments
- Theconfidence to build lasting relationships and influence senior colleagues and clients in leading roles
To qualify for the role you will need:
- This role is available in our EY London Birmingham Manchester Leeds or Glasgow offices
- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience
- Minimum 5 years experience within the infrastructure sector with specific experience in one or more sub-capabilities (e.g. business change strategy development and delivery organisation design workforce planning)
- Experience of leading end to end change or organisational design on projects or workstreams on transformation programmes with responsibility for delivery client management senior business lead management commercials leading a team.
Ideally you will also have:
- Experienceofworking on large scale digitally enabledinfrastructureprogrammes
- An ability to adaptand learn in an innovative environment
- An understanding on how Agentic AI can add value to businesses and the Infrastructure sector
