Job Title: IWPB Compliance officer Gift City

Location: GIFT City Gandhinagar

Job Profile

To strengthen the Risk and Regulatory Compliance framework of the International Banking Unit by ensuring adherence to IFSCA regulations global banking standards and internal risk governance frameworks. The role supports safe compliant and scalable growth of international banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance

Ensure end-to-end compliance with IFSCA regulations and applicable international banking norms

Monitor regulatory circulars notifications and policy updates; drive timely implementation

Liaise with regulators and support regulatory inspections audits and supervisory reviews

Maintain compliance dashboards registers and reporting packs for senior management

2. Risk Management

Implement enterprise risk management framework across credit operational market liquidity and conduct risks

Identify assess and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) for the IBU business

Conduct periodic risk assessments and control testing

Support risk appetite monitoring and reporting

3. Governance & Controls

Strengthen internal controls and compliance testing mechanisms

Support internal and external audits; ensure closure of audit observations

Drive policy implementation and periodic review of SOPs and risk frameworks

Ensure maker-checker controls and process integrity across operations

4. Business & Product Risk Advisory

Provide risk advisory on new products cross-border transactions and structured deals

Partner with business teams to ensure compliant customer onboarding and transaction flows

Review complex client structures AML red flags and high-risk relationships

5. AML / KYC / Financial Crime Compliance

Oversee KYC AML sanctions screening and transaction monitoring frameworks

Ensure adherence to FATF-aligned policies and international compliance standards

Escalate suspicious transactions and regulatory breaches

6. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

Prepare risk and compliance MIS for senior management and board-level committees

Coordinate with Head Office risk teams and international compliance stakeholders

Support cross-functional teams including operations treasury trade finance and wealth

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of international banking regulations and offshore banking frameworks

Working knowledge of IFSCA guidelines and global compliance standards

Risk assessment control testing and governance expertise

Strong analytical and documentation skills

High stakeholder management and regulatory liaison capability

Qualifications & Experience

CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification preferred

510 years of experience in Risk Compliance or Regulatory roles in banking/financial services

Experience in international banking units offshore centers or cross-border banking preferred
