Job Summary

About the Role

Our Engineering team supports the operation integrity and longterm performance of the Pelican Point Power Station and Synergen Power assets in South Australia. As a Mechanical Engineer youll play a key role in ensuring the safe reliable and costeffective performance of mechanical plant and equipment with a strong focus on gas and steam turbines heat recovery steam generators and balanceofplant systems.

This role is primarily based at Pelican Point Power Station with occasional travel to other ENGIE sites predominantly in South Australia and Victoria.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to operations and maintenance teams supporting safe and efficient asset performance.
  • Investigate mechanical issues identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Lead and support outage planning inspections and delivery to meet time cost and quality expectations.
  • Scope plan and manage mechanical engineering projects and plant modifications.
  • Contribute to asset management planning including budgets improvement initiatives and longterm plant performance strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with ENGIE policies WHS requirements and audit actions.

About You

Youll bring strong mechanical engineering expertise and a practical understanding of power generation or heavy industrial environments. Youre someone who collaborates well with others communicates clearly and makes sound balanced decisions under pressure.

Were looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (and White Card).
  • Experience with gas/steam turbines HRSGs rotating equipment or similar heavy mechanical plant.
  • Understanding of maintenance methodologies asset management principles and engineering standards.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate outages projects and contractors.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • High attention to safety risk awareness and quality.
