How youll contribute

A Staffing Coordinator who excels in this role:

  • Supports nursing administration by coordinating daily staffing needs calculating requirements based on patient acuity and flexible staffing models and maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Proactively monitors staffing levels and resolves shortages in alignment with established staffing plans.
  • Communicates anticipated or actual staffing issues to the appropriate Director in a timely manner.
  • Determines coordinates and oversees staffing assignments for Patient Sitters to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Recruits orients trains coaches and mentors Patient Sitters; assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Assesses and ensures the quality of services delivered supports staff development initiatives and promotes compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols.
  • Prepares and edits correspondence reports presentations and other written communications.
  • Receives screens and routes visitors and telephone calls; responds to escalates and follows up on inquiries and issues as appropriate.
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings conferences special events and appointments.
  • Maintains assigned calendars files and office equipment.
  • Orders tracks and stocks office and departmental supplies..

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Applicants should have a High school diploma or equivalent; an Associates degree is preferred. Additional requirements include:

  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills and sound judgment with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced high-stress environment and take appropriate action.
