Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Adult Care (Home Care)
Location: Manhattan NY
Shift: Day (5x8-Hour Shifts)
Hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Compensation:
Travelers: $92/hour
Local Candidates: $75/hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Home Care role serving adult patients in a community setting. This position involves traveling to patients homes to provide comprehensive patient-centered care and support recovery and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Perform wound care IV therapy and post-operative care
Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination and discharge planning
Required Qualifications:
Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience (within the last year)
Prior home care experience (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required for certain regions)
Required Skills:
Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Proficiency in IV therapy and wound care
Ability to work independently in a home care environment
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Additional Information:
Daily caseload: 48 patients per day
Must be comfortable traveling to patient homes
First week includes orientation and field training with an educator
Must be available to work every other weekend
Travel expenses are not reimbursed (all-inclusive pay rate)
