JOB SUMMARY
BKV Corporation is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support the Power Business Units Environmental and Power Regulatory Compliance Program.Reporting to theRegulatory Compliance Manager under EHSR within the Center of Excellence the rolepartners with the Regulatory Compliance Manager to ensure full compliance with federal state and regional regulatory requirements governing power generationconstructionandoperations.
The Compliance Specialistis responsible fortracking regulatory changescompilingandvalidatingcompliance data preparing andsubmittingrequired reportsmaintainingauditable documentation and supporting regulatory inspections and audits. This position plays a critical role in sustaining a culture of compliance operational discipline and continuous improvement across the fleet.
The ideal candidatedemonstratesstrong attention to detail sound judgment and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements within a complex operating environment. This role requires the ability to clearly explain compliance obligations policies and practices to cross-functional teams including Operations Maintenance Engineering Commercial and externalregulators.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Compliance Specialist supports the Power Business Units Environmental Health Safety and Regulatory (EHSR) compliance program by ensuringtimelyreporting documentation integrity and audit readiness across plant operations.Typical job responsibilities include:
1. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
Monitor andmaintaincompliance with all applicable federal state regional and local environmental and power regulatory requirements.
Compilevalidate andsubmitrequired environmental and regulatory filings (e.g. air emissions water waste ESG and power regulatory reports).
Track andmaintainpermits registrations certifications andoperational licenses.
Support regulatory inspections audits and agency information requests.
2. Environmental Program Support
Coordinate required environmental monitoring activities including air water soil sampling emissions testing and waste profiling.
Manage SPCC program tracking and related compliance documentation.
Support greenhouse gas and air quality data collection and reporting.
Assistwith waste management planning tracking and disposal compliance.
3. Regulatory Monitoring & Risk Awareness
Track regulatory developments and emerging compliance risks affecting powergenerationdevelopment andoperations.
Communicate regulatory changes and potential impactstoplant leadership.
Supportcompliancerisk mitigation and corrective action tracking.
4. Data Management & Documentation Control
Maintain organized audit-ready compliance records and technical files.
Coordinate data collection from plant personnel and third-party consultants to ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness.
Support ESG data collection and sustainability reporting requirements.
5. Cross-Functional & Agency Coordination
Interface professionally with regulatory agencies consultants and internal stakeholders.
Support compliance training initiatives.
Collaborate with operations engineering and other business units to resolve compliance-related issues.
Support public outreach hearings and stakeholder engagement in coordination with Legal and project leadership; develop clear materials and talking points.
6. Compliance Due Diligence and Risk Management
Provide environmental andpowerregulatory diligence support for acquisitions partnerships and joint ventures to ensure alignment with corporate risk standards.
Ensure environmental and permitting requirements are incorporated into contracts and scopes of work (consultants EPCs and contractors).

Perform other compliance-related responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Working knowledge of environmental and power regulatory requirements applicable to power generation operations.
Familiarity with federal and state regulatory frameworks (e.g. EPA TCEQ ERCOT PUCT NERC FERC TRE).
Understanding ofenvironmental reporting processespermitcompliance and regulatory documentation requirements.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and data management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Engineering ora relatedtechnical discipline.
Minimum of13years of experience in environmental or regulatory compliance preferably within power generation or an industrial operating environment.
Experience with air permitting emissions reporting or regulatory agency interaction preferred.
Experience supporting fast-track development (e.g. data centers microgrids) and/or greenfield/brownfield redevelopmentis a plus.
Experience supporting construction compliance (e.g. SWPPP SPCC waste and materials managementairand water reporting) and working with EPC contractorsis a plus.
Familiarity with Texas environmental and power regulatory frameworks (e.g. TCEQ ERCOT PUCT) is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is primarily remote; Texas residency is preferred due to proximity to operating facilities.
Occasional travel to operating sites may be(estimated <10%) including time spent in industrial plant environments.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with standard business hours; extended hours may be required depending on business needs. May occasionally be exposed to distracting noise while sharing office space with others.
When on site the role may involve exposure to typical power plant conditions including moderate noise temperature variations and the requirement to follow site safety protocols and useappropriate personalprotective equipment (PPE).
