AGC Biologics is looking for a Manager (9 month Maternity Cover) to join our Late-Stage Process Development Department in Copenhagen. This is a 9 month maternity cover and there is different opportunities at AGC Biologics to stay with us afterwards.

Lead science that moves therapies closer to patients

As part of our rapidly growing global organization you will take on a pivotal leadership role guiding a talented team of scientists and technicians working with therapies from late-stage development through to commercial launch.

In this role you will combine people leadership with scientific responsibility ensuring both strong team performance and high-quality delivery. You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across AGC Biologics contributing to an environment built on collaboration growth and scientific excellence.

Your role in action

This role offers extensive interaction across the organization and with global customers. You will engage directly with biopharmaceutical companies and contribute actively to their projects in a dynamic and evolving environment.

More over you will:

  • Lead a team of scientists and technicians

  • Monitor team participation engagement and performance to ensure effective collaboration

  • Provide clear constructive feedback and foster open communication

  • Ensure compliance with company policies safety procedures quality standards and regulatory requirements

  • Manage daily operations and balance workloads across multiple projects

  • Represent the department in interactions with internal and external stakeholders

  • Support the team on customer and internal projects as needed

A collaborative and growing department

Late-Stage Process Development consists of around 45 team members divided into three teams. Each team includes Upstream Downstream and Analytical Scientists and Technicians working cross-functionally to bring new biopharmaceuticals closer to market.

Your superpowers
These are the strengths and skills you bring that will help you shine in this role and make an impact from day one:

  • A relevant educational background such as biochemistry or process technology

  • Proven leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry

  • Experience managing both scientists and lab technicians is highly advantageous

  • Ability to guide the team in planning executing and reporting on late-stage studies

  • Preferred experience in process development especially late-stage programs

  • Experience with audits/inspections and preparing regulatory documentation is an advantage

  • A flexible mindset and readiness to take on new responsibilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Fluency in English both written and spoken
