As an Analyst or Associate in the Equity Capital Markets Syndicate team within Global Equities you will work closely with colleagues across ECM Sales Trading Legal and Compliance to execute equity and equity-linked transactions. You will be at the heart of deal execution bridging issuer clients and institutional investors and contributing to the success of IPOs ABBs Rights Issues and Convertible Bonds. You will help drive innovation support investor education and play a key role in company buyback programs whilst developing market insight and judgement
Job responsibilities
- Support Syndicate Deal Captains to help execute EMEA Equity Capital Market deals including IPOs ABBs Rights Issues and Convertible Bonds
- Set up analyse and manage books of demand for ECM transactions.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and external counterparties throughout deal execution.
- Support investor education and management roadshows.
- Target investors and analyse performance for ECM deals.
- Produce daily and weekly market wraps and ECM deal summaries.
- Maintain ABB/Blocks lists and track investor feedback.
- Run ad-hoc daily and weekly reports and analysis for the team.
- Liaise with company representatives and internal teams to structure buyback programs.
- Work with Equity Trading and Compliance to execute buybacks in the market.
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Strong academic qualifications.
- Relevant experience in Banking or Markets
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work under pressure whilst managing multiple deals
- Effective communication skills and strong time management.
- Highly motivated quick learner and team player.
- Ability to work independently and display strong initiative.
- Very good understanding of risk controls and compliance.
- Advanced user of Excel PowerPoint Dealogic and Bloomberg.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience executing ECM transactions at a major financial institution.
- Familiarity with investor targeting and performance analysis.
- Experience managing buyback programs.
- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration within global markets.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development.
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics or a related field.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness propriety knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
