Boone County Conservation Board Seasonal Golf Course Aide

The Boone County Conservation Board is seeking candidates to fill 2 Seasonal Golf Course Aide positions. The selected individuals will assist in a variety of tasks associated with the management of Don Williams Golf Course parks wildlife areas and trails managed by the Boone County Conservation Board. This position will require some weekend night and holiday hours as well as the opportunity to assist the Conservation Board Naturalist with outdoor recreational programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 17 years of age and possess a valid drivers license. Background check and physical may be required. The ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions. Ability to operate and assist with the maintenance of various outdoor equipment.

DESCRIPTION: Seasonal position under general supervision of the Director and direct supervision of the Golf Course Manager. Performs mowing weed eating cleaning of facilities facility and park maintenance public relations interaction with park visitors and other jobs as assigned. Preferred experience in operation of equipment such as mowers trimmers skid loaders tractors chain saws and hand tools. Willing to work a nonstandard work week with some night weekend and holiday work as required. May assist the county Naturalist when needed with recreational or educational programming. This is a seasonal position running from approximately May to September and will not exceed 40 hours per week.

WAGE: $14.50/hr. 40 hours per week.
