We help our customers look after their day-to-day finances and manage protect and grow their wealth.
Our wealth management teams provide financial planning and advice and market insight and updates as well as products in areas such as investments deposits insurance financing and foreign exchange. They include relationship managers who work to understand the financial needs of clients and create strategies to meet their objectives as well as technical product experts sales managers and support staff
The Opportunity:
The Fraud Product Management team ensures that essential systems and data are available to enable Fraud Management to conduct effective and efficient investigations and analytics. The team is proactive and future-looking shaping Fraud mitigation technology and promoting its adoption across Fraud Management.
The role holder will be responsible for the identification analysis and implementation of requirements for new capabilities used by Fraud Management to assess and analyze fraud risk and reputational risk for pan-China WPB customers. This will require close and productive working relationships with the IT development team Fraud analytics and Fraud Operations and skilled relationship management with internal system owners external data vendors and business stakeholders.
In this role you will facilitate and lead Fraud Product Management team to deliver:
- Develop specialist knowledge of all fraud control product management and data quality management process to support all new project and enhancement requests within the overall Fraud objectives.
- Maintain sound understanding of key threats and system vulnerabilities and engage proactively with risk stewards to mitigate the impact of compromise. To lead enhancement/CR initiations to meet fraud control needs from solution exploration to project stage in order to ensure business and regulatory implications of system design and operation are proactively anticipated considered and communicated throughout the lifecycle.
- Build networks and manage day-to-day relationships with all staff on technology related matters in Risk and Business. Strengthen and broaden internal relationships with global functions lines of business regions and countries who directly benefit from or interact with Fraud systems.
- Be pro-active and seek opportunities to improve the system usage by engaging with all relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts in a collaborative manner. Stay close to global/regional fraud products while keeping closer to local market intelligence. Conduct gap analysis against group capabilities migration/upgrade (FSA) where applicable.
To be successful in the role you should meet the following requirements:
- With 8 years experience in financial servicing industry as an outstanding business analyst/consultant/project manager/solution designer or as an SME in any aspect from fraud control in terms of system/analytics/operation/data.
- Rich financial services industry knowledge with deepened functional expertise so that with exposure to business case development external environment (regulatory political competitors) and a sound understanding of how design enables underpin business benefits.
- Rich experience of delivering change into different audiences and managing implementation in banking environments in Agile way.
- Effective communication inter-personal and negotiating skills to build internal/external/group network cross different functions.
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving ability.
- Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective as well as with senior stakeholders and business sponsors.
