Versent is expanding its cloud resell business and we are looking for an experienced Cloud Finance Operations Lead to build and run best-practice financial and commercial operations across AWS and Microsoft.

This role is central to supporting the migration of customers from Telstra to Versent and to establishing scalable audit-ready finance operations that set the business up for long-term growth.

You will own end-to-end finance operations for cloud resell and related services including:

  • Month-end close and reporting cadence

  • Revenue margin and profitability management (including P&L performance)

  • Cashflow oversight and working capital focus

  • Building and maintaining commercial governance that stands up to audit and scale

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity. You will ask the right questions follow the work where it leads identify risks early and create practical improvements that stick.

You will be a people-focused leader who values collaboration and professional development. Success in this role will come from building strong relationships and developing a deep understanding of stakeholder needs so expectations are clear and consistently met.

You will also be responsible for maintaining risk management and governance frameworks across:

  • Accounts receivable and debtor collections

  • Accounts payable

  • Key metrics and controls for effective vendor and supplier management

What Youll Bring

  • 6 years experience in finance commercial finance or revenue operations

  • Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft cloud resell models (CSP EA consumptionbased)

  • Deep understanding of cloud revenue recognition and margin mechanics

  • Proven ownership of monthend close P&L reporting and margin analysis

  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; Workday experience advantageous

  • Experience supporting customer migrations carveouts or complex transitions

  • Background in consulting systems integration or managed services highly regarded


This hybrid role is a 12 month fixed term contract located in Melbourne.
