This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.

As a Risk Manager you will be accountable to the Corporate Risk Manager for executing risk management on programmes and projects to a high standard according to established risk project and technical management processes leading to delivered solutions of an engineering integrity commensurate with nuclear operations.
You will also be providing specialist advice support and training on the Enterprise Risk Management Process to Sponsors PMs Risk Owners and other interested staff. and overseeing and advising on risk management activities within a risk-focused programme or project management environment. You will be supporting risk owners and others in the effective application of project risk management processes as well as reporting key risk information as part of governance arrangements to seniors and all levels.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensuring active stakeholder management with all key stakeholders.
- Facilitating the identification characterisation analysis evaluation and treatment of risks associated with Programmes Projects and Work Packages to aid programme management/leadership in decision making.
- Supporting and coordinating the Risk Review process ensuring that risk registers are kept up to date and that risk descriptors and mitigations are moderated and robustly challenged as appropriate
- Undertaking quantitative risk analysis through Schedule and Cost Quantitative Risk Analysis
- Developing and assisting Risk Strategy implementation and delivery at a Enterprise level.
- Supporting chosen risk management software tools and platforms. Acting as Super User and focal point for support.
- Ensuring effective Risk Reporting takes place for all tactical/technical strategic and Corporate risks and issues. .
Qualifications :
Essential :
- Extensive experience of risk & issue management
- Comprehensive knowledge of risk management frameworks & methodologies
- Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in a scientific/technical subject.
- Experience of business change implementation and risk governance.
- Experience of building effective stakeholder engagement .
Desirable:
- Quantitative risk analysis including contingency modelling experience.
- Demonstrable experience in quality management.
Qualifications & Professional Memberships (or equivalent)
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Management of Risk Practitioner
- APM Practitioner Qualification
- APM Registered Project Professional
- IRM Certified
