Application Engineer

• Installing and configuring new MES modules into existing systems with minimal disruption to ongoing production operations
• Working closely with IT service providers plant experts MES key users and the central solution team to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of MES modules across all Vehicle Motion manufacturing sites
• Identifying gaps in functionality communicating these gaps and developing technical solution proposals
• Performing system tests
• Detecting software issues and using problem-solving skills and diagnostic tools to identify root causes
• Consulting with customers and providing technical expertise in the installation support and maintenance of MES applications
• Sharing experience and knowledge within the team
• Performing various tasks based on customer needs
• Undertaking travel activities for on-site consulting and implementation

Qualifications :

• Degree in computer science electrical engineering industrial engineering or a related field
• More than 3 years of experience as an application engineer / automation software engineer / control systems engineer or in a similar role preferably in the industrial automation or manufacturing sector
• Experience with MES systems ideally with the Nexeed Classic system
• Experience in automation technology e.g. signal processing control systems and interfaces (OPC UA protocols SQL databases Windows-based operating systems)
• Experience with scripting technologies required for automated deployment or at least basic programming knowledge (SQL C C)
• Technical understanding of IT systems (SAP MES Windows Linux databases)
• Strong problemsolving analytical and communication skills
• Project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and customers
• Fluent English required both written and spoken for daily work
• Independent self-reliant responsible and reliable working style
