- Assist Senior Pastry Chefs and Pastry Chef de Partie in daily pastry and dessert preparation ensuring efficient kitchen operations and consistent productivity
- Prepare bake and finish a variety of pastry items including breads cakes tarts and plated desserts with precision and meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain quality and consistency across all pastry creations by adhering to established recipes techniques and presentation standards
- Ensure all pastry items meet taste texture and visual presentation expectations while upholding organizational standards of excellence
- Follow strict food safety protocols HACCP procedures and hygiene standards; maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section at all times
- Monitor ingredient quality assist with stock management minimize waste and communicate inventory needs to the Pastry Chef
- Demonstrate initiative and a genuine willingness to learn advanced pastry techniques and innovative approaches
- Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth operations and contribute to a positive inclusive kitchen culture
- Organize time efficiently to meet production deadlines while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications :
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a pastry or culinary role preferably in a five-star hospitality environment
- Completed National Certificate in Hospitality Level 4 in Professional Cookery or equivalent culinary qualification
- Strong foundational knowledge of pastry production techniques baking fundamentals and dessert preparation
- Solid understanding of food safety standards HACCP procedures and kitchen hygiene protocols
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong numeracy skills for accurate measurements recipe scaling and basic cost awareness
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Solid interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods (8 hours) during shifts
- Flexibility to work weekends public holidays and varying shift schedules as required by business needs
- Demonstrated willingness to learn develop new skills and embrace feedback for continuous improvement
