ABOUT THE TRAINING


In partnership with the I.A.T.S.E. Local 52 and supported by funding through Warner Bros. Discovery HBOs The Gilded Age is hosting an intensive training program to prepare New Yorkers with the essential skills needed to work successfully in the Props Department.


The Property (Props) Department makes sources maintains and transports props. Props are any items that an actor interacts with on set.


PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Not currently enrolled in full-time education
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Able to provide proof of residency in NY within a 50-mile radius of Columbus Circle.
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong interest in the props department
  • Creative background including exposure to literature art and art history
  • Experience in stagecraft carpentry moving furniture and sewing is valuable
  • Some production experience is preferred
