Nord Anglia International School Dublin is looking to recruit an experienced and dedicatedAdditional Educational Needs Coordinator (AENCO) to lead our AEN department and champion inclusive education across our school community. The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and qualified AENCO to lead our Additional Educational Needs department with a focus on:

  • Leading the AEN department with a clear vision for inclusion high expectations and personalised learning ensuring every student with additional needs receives the support necessary to reach their full potential.
  • Line managing and developing a team of Learning Support Assistants and Teaching and Learning Assistants overseeing deployment performance and professional growth across Primary and Secondary.
  • Collaborating with students parents teachers and external therapists to develop implement and review Personalised Learning Plans that are meaningful ambitious and regularly updated.
  • Working in close partnership with our Admissions Finance and HR teams to assess the needs of incoming students ensure accurate billing of AEN services and lead on LSA and TLA recruitment.
  • Building trusted evidence-based relationships with parents - making clear professional recommendations on support levels therapeutic referrals and external assessments.
  • Leading staff professional development on AEN strategies and inclusive practice embedding a whole-school culture of high expectations for all learners.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

  • A relevant degree or qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Additional Educational Needs (AEN) with a teaching qualification desirable.
  • Significant experience supporting students with additional educational needs ideally within an international or IB school setting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing an AEN or SEND team including line management of learning support staff.
  • Experience making professional recommendations to parents on support therapeutic intervention and specialist leadership organisational and interpersonal skills with the confidence to work across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
  • A proven commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations - from parents navigating a new diagnosis to senior leaders planning school strategy. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment as well as meet visa-related restrictions for Ireland.
