As a Clerical Officer here at Bon Secours Hospital Cork you will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of our hospital.
We are now inviting applications for the position of Quality Improvement Coordinator
Essential Eligibility Criteria:
Recognised Degree in Quality /Risk Management or professional healthcare qualification.
Proven experience in risk management / quality role.
Previous experience / knowledge of accreditation in a healthcare setting for example Joint Commission International Health Information and Quality Authority Quality Standards Accreditation Systems or similar.
Have excellent leadership skills organisational skills and interpersonal skills.
Have excellent interpersonal communication and organisation skills and have the ability to work on own initiative
Have a proven track record in providing excellent customer service
Enjoy working in a busy environment have advanced administrative skills as well as strong attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite.
Fluency in English both spoken and written is a pre-requisite for this role
Role Responsibilities of the post include and are not limited to:
Oversee the review of all clinical incident report forms and ensure they are appropriately categorised reviewed and followed up in accordance with local guidance.
Provide expertise on the investigation of serious reportable or sentinel events using multiple methodologies including root-cause analysis systems analysis and clinical peer review.
Have extensive knowledge and experience of accreditation standards including the Joint Commission International (JCI) Standards and/or Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role.
Coordination of complaints including management to satisfactory close out.
