Freight Officer

Responsibilities:

Maintain document procedures to ensure proper validation accurate record-keeping and organized filing of freight invoices and shipping documents

Maintain the accuracy and compliance of freight invoices in accordance with supporting shipping documents and contractual rates

Support daily freight operations by handling freight related queries from stakeholders and providing necessary assistance to ensure smooth shipping process

Monitor and evaluate shipment performance and logistics service provider KPI

Assist in preparing monthly freight accrual reports

Monitor and track freight costs to support cost control initiatives and conduct freight cost analysis for reporting

Handle freight invoice discrepancies and disputes with freight forwarders

Liaise with Finance for invoice validation and timely payment processing

Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

Minimum Diploma Holder preferably in Supply Chain Shipping Logistics Management or Business Administration

13 years of relevant working experience in freight logistics invoice processing and payment processing

Exposure to logistics coordination or supply chain support is an advantage

Basic concept and understanding of shipping such as Incoterm

Willingness to learn ERP systems such as SAP

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Strong attention to detail analytical ability and good organizational skills

Fluent in English
