Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol Unit in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is an armed driving post requiring a valid armed guard card and a valid drivers license. You will represent Allied Universal by being agile reliable innovative team-focused and guided by integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at entrances checkpoints and restricted areas by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials and directing foot and vehicle traffic as required by post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site contacts and public agency partners when needed.
- Monitor alarms radios and video surveillance systems when assigned and complete shift logs and incident reports with clear accurate details.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree with 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
- Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
