Team Leader / Senior Residential Conveyancer

About the Role
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer / Team Leader to join and lead its expanding Residential Conveyancing team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to take on a leadership role while managing a varied and busy caseload.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the team maintaining strong client and referrer relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the residential property department. The firm offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development including support towards qualifications where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases including new-build transactions
- Managing re-mortgages equity release and transfer of equity matters
- Leading supervising and developing members of the conveyancing team
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers
- Ensuring high standards of client care and communication throughout transactions
- Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and professional standards
- Using case management systems effectively to manage files and workflows
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to team growth
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Conveyancer within a busy residential property team
- Strong experience handling a full range of residential conveyancing transactions independently
- Previous team management or supervisory experience is essential
- Excellent business development and relationship management skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good IT skills and experience using case management systems
- A proactive and collaborative approach to team leadership
- Formal qualifications (CLC CILEX or Solicitor) are desirable but not essential
