Senior Estimator (Remote - Bogotá Colombia)

We are a premier New York City-based construction firm seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team remotely from Bogotá Colombia. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position requiring a professional who can work a full-time schedule aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST) to ensure seamless collaboration with our NYC headquarters.

Role Overview

As a Senior Estimator you will play a critical role in our preconstruction phase handling complex cost analysis for large-scale projects. You will be responsible for everything from initial conceptual budgets to final hard bids ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in the New York market.

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed quantity take-offs across all trades including Architectural Structural and MEP systems.
Develop comprehensive conceptual budgets and detailed cost models based on various design stages.
Review project plans and specifications to identify potential risk factors and constructability issues.
Collaborate closely with NYC-based project managers and executives via virtual meetings.
Maintain and update a database of material costs and subcontractor pricing relevant to the NYC area.
Manage the bidding process including subcontractor solicitation and scope leveling.

Requirements

Location: Must be based in Bogotá Colombia.
Language: Native or near-native English fluency (written and verbal) is mandatory for daily communication with the NYC team.
Schedule: Ability to work full-time hours strictly on Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Stack On-Screen Takeoff Bluebeam) and Excel.
Experience: Significant experience in construction estimating preferably with exposure to North American building standards and codes.
Contract Status: This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role. You must be prepared to bill the company monthly for services rendered.

Compensation & Logistics

Pay: $2000 $2500 USD per month (depending on experience).
Payment Terms: Monthly via invoice.
Work Environment: 100% Remote.
