Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Property Patrol in Long Island City NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to client staff and visitors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas exterior grounds and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Monitor access control points and observe lobby office and ATM or vestibule areas reporting irregular conditions and/or policy violations through established channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner providing assistance to employees and/or visitors until additional resources arrive.
- Complete detailed written reports incident logs and patrol documentation and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have a state county or city issued security license preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
