Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

We are currently seeking a Medication Room Assistantto join our team at Menard Correctional Centerlocated in ChesterIllinois.

TheMedication Room Assistantworks under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. This person will:

Assist with the organization and maintenance of medication room records
Assist with the maintenance of medication room inventory and audit procedures
Maintain the securityof all medications and supplies under their control or supervision
Processessupply requests in a prompt cooperative and efficient manner
Confirmsordered medications are received
Logs outgoing medications
Assists with the delivery of medications as determined by site administration

Qualifications

Be a high school graduate or hold a GED
1 year correctional health care or hospital pharmacyexperience preferred.
History of being well organized communication effectively and detail oriented
Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and practices preferred; along with knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
Ability to obtain a security clearance to include drug screen and criminal background check

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
