Job Description
As a Security Officer - Patrol Correctional Facilityin Fallon NV you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control points as needed. You will respond to calls for service document observations and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a customer-focused presence. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific procedures access protocols and customer guidelines and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct routine and random patrols of buildings offices parking areas and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances gates and common areas for unusual activity and/or verify identification and authorized access in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents alarms and requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner and coordinate notifications to site leadership and/or public resources as directed.
- Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol logs incident reports and observations and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
