Job Summary

Job Title:Academic Marketing and Communications Assistant
Department:Marketing and Communications
Student Employment Type:Federal Work-Study and Non-Federal Work Study
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development implementation of digital content strategies for academic program pages on Quinnipiacs website to enhance user experience and drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and generate new innovative ideas for website content.
  • Perform regular content audits to identify areas for improvement such as content gaps and outdated information.
  • Refresh and update web pages with the latest and most relevant content and photography to maintain accuracy and alignment with the universitys goals.
  • Write engaging and concise copy for academic webpages that aligns with Quinnipiacs digital voice and tone.
  • Ensure content follows best practices in SEO and accessibility.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Current QU student
  • Federal Work Study is preferred
  • Strong passion for digital media digital marketing and communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Adobe Photoshop
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and content.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in website/digital content management content creation or marketing is preferred not required.
Hours of Position:
  • 10 - 15 per week.

  • Position is located off-campus: 3093 Whitney Avenue near Whitney Village shuttle stop.
