As a Security Officer - Evening Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned education-focused cultural location you will monitor and patrol galleries and public areas conduct routine rounds remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and assist guests staff and vendors with clear communication and professional service. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff students visitors and/or vendors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within an educational and cultural campus environment.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting events and promptly notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries classrooms offices loading areas parking areas and perimeter routes monitoring for suspicious activity and conditions that could help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Control access to assigned areas by verifying credentials monitoring entry points and directing visitors to appropriate locations while maintaining professional presence and communication.
• Complete routine reports and logs monitor CCTV and/or other monitoring systems when assigned and support site procedures related to lost and found restricted areas and crowd management during events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
