Frontend Developer

About the Role:

We are looking for a Front-end developer to join our MyBusiness team. Our team works in an agile environment closely collaborating with back-end developers analysts and the Product Owner to deliver business value in short iterations.

Scope of the project:

Currently the MyBusiness solution has been implemented in 19 different countries some of the countries are USA Canada Germany France Japan and Australia. The solution is implemented for our 3 brands: Oticon Bernafon and Philips. The solution is integrated with several global applications. Due the success we are currently working on implementing MyBusiness in more countries and creating new features.

Your Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Participate in sprint planning backlog refinement and retrospectives
• Participate in estimation and technical discussions
• Develop and maintain frontend features using React and TypeScript following established patterns and best practices
• Build reusable well-structured UI components aligned with design specifications
• Style components using Tailwind CSS ensuring responsiveness and visual consistency
• Work within an existing codebase following established project structure and conventions
• Integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs handling loading and error states
• Write maintain and improve Cypress tests to ensure application reliability
• Contribute to code quality and maintainability through refactoring
• Participate in code reviews providing and receiving constructive feedback
• Collaborate closely with designers backend developers and the frontend team
• Take part in troubleshooting debugging and resolving frontend issues
• Follow Git workflows including branching strategies and pull requests
• Document components and technical decisions when needed

To Qualify for the Role:

1. Strong experience with React (18) and TypeScript
   1. Confident with React hooks common component patterns and performance considerations
   2. Comfortable typing complex props state and component APIs using TypeScript
2. Solid understanding of component composition and reusable component design
   1. Ability to build wellstructured reusable components following existing patterns
   2. Ability to work effectively within mediumtolarge frontend codebases
3. Good knowledge of CSS principles and styling fundamentals
   1. Understanding of core CSS concepts such as positioning layout and responsive design
   2. Familiarity with structuring and maintaining styles using CSS or SCSS
4. Familiarity with component testing concepts
   1. Understanding what to test at the component level (rendering behaviour user interactions)
   2. Awareness of testing best practices such as test isolation readability and maintainability
5. Daily confident use of Git
   1. Working with branching strategies pull requests and code reviews in a team environment
6. Awareness of the difference between browser runtime and buildtime execution

Nice to have but not required:

1. Experience working with particularly:
   1. Page-based routing
   2. Project structure and conventions
   3. Understanding of clientside vs serverside execution context
2. Experience integrating RESTful APIs including:
   1. Handling loading and error states
   2. Familiarity with SWR or similar datafetching libraries
3. Understanding of crossbrowser compatibility considerations
4. Experience with utilityfirst CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS
5. Experience writing and maintaining automated frontend tests e.g. using Cypress
6. Familiarity with code quality tooling such as:
   1. ESLint
   2. Prettier
7. Exposure to CI/CD workflows e.g. Azure DevOps
8. Familiarity with CMS systems
9. Experience with frontend authentication solutions such as or similar libraries
