DescriptionApt Resources is seeking an experienced F&B Controller for a dynamic role in the hospitality and food & beverage industry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). As an F&B Controller you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of food and beverage operations within a hospitality environment ensuring compliance with financial controls and maximizing profitability in a fast-paced setting. You will work closely with the F&B management team to analyze financial data identify trends and provide actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and support overall hospitality operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs implement cost-saving strategies and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to F&B performance including revenue expenses and profitability.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory supplies and equipment usage to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with F&B managers and kitchen teams to optimize menu pricing and portion control.
- Provide financial training and support to F&B staff to enhance their understanding of financial practices.
- Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and assist in developing strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies regarding financial transactions and reporting.
Requirements- Proven experience as an F&B Controller or similar financial role in the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g. CPA) are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with inventory management and cost control in food and beverage operations.
- Ability to work in a multinational environment with strong adaptability to local cultures.
- Must be willing to relocate or travel to the DRC as required.
