About the Opportunity

This newly created role will lead and oversee Armadillos growth and performance across the APAC region with direct responsibility for Sales Sales Support and indirectly other relevant support teams. With a strong focus on driving commercial performance operational excellence and cultural alignment this position will play a critical role as the business continues to grow and evolve.

The Regional Director APAC will lead Armadillos expansion across both new and existing markets in the region while optimising processes and technology to streamline ways of working and improve organisational effectiveness.

Working closely with the Global CEO the Regional Director will help shape and deliver key strategic objectives that enable sustainable growth and support the companys broader goals. Just as importantly this leader will translate strategy into actionmotivating and empowering teams through clear communication coaching and inspirational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead market expansion initiatives assessing risks opportunities and sales/operational requirements in collaboration with our Global Head of Growth and Emerging Markets (International)
  • Drive the financial performance of the APAC region ensuring sales targets profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets collaborating with the Director of Global Operations and Global Head of Finance/AU Finance to ensure financial objectives align with global strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with the Global CEO to define and execute the regional strategic plan aligned with Armadillos Global 5 Year Plan (and F27 Plans)
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities including market expansion partnerships and new revenue streams and support Global E-Commerce ambitions.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team fostering a collaborative performance and purpose-driven culture.
  • Ensure cross departmental process governance ensuring sales team members adhere to finance reporting and marketing communication requirements and standards especially for outreach initiatives and promotions.
  • Optimise business models processes and structures to enhance efficiency and performance working back with global teams and requirements.
  • Provide hands-on leadership in support of the businesses digital transformation agenda as it relates to sales especially E-Commerce.
  • Ensure sales teams are empowered to achieve targets through proactive leadership coaching and mentorship performance management relevant technology tools and strategic support.

About You

Key to the success of this position is your ability to lead inspire develop and listen to colleagues stakeholders and team members across all levels of the business. You will have high levels of strategic agility executive presence and sound decision-making abilities whilst also being capable of building and leading effective teams. Most importantly you will be proud to lead the team and will be excited to advocate for represent and champion the brand team and business at every opportunity.

You are commercially astute with a proven ability to translate data and insights into clear strategic direction and informed decision-making. Leveraging technology and insights you actively monitor performance identify opportunities for improvement and drive initiatives that elevate team and business outcomes.

Highly attuned to business performance you anticipate shifts in the market and proactively adjust strategy and execution to ensure the organisation remains on track to achieve its strategic objectives.

Some of the key capabilities and experience we will be looking for are below:

  • Proven experience in a Regional or General Manager or Executive Leadership role within a high-growth organisation. Prior experience in senior Sales/Commercial Leadership positions is essential.
  • Ideally you will have experience in growing a brand and expanding into new markets across APAC.
  • Prior experience optimising and establishing practical and efficient processes and workflows in HubSpot and experience with NetSuite well regarded.
  • Experience in Architectural Design Consumer Goods Retail or Furniture/Homewares industries is essential.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth and operational efficiencies.
  • Proven track record for identifying setting and achieving short- and long-term goals and business objectives at an individual team and group level.
  • Demonstrated experience leading geographically dispersed teams with an appreciation of cultural nuances and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic thinker especially around sales strategy and business development with the ability to translate vision into actionable business plans and execute with excellence.
  • Inspirational supportive and proactive leader with excellent communication coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commitment to sustainability ethical business practices and purpose-driven leadership.
  • Creative bigger picture thinker with a natural problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to foster innovation drive change and continuously improve business performance including with the relevant use of technology (CRM e-commerce etc).
