Job Summary:
The City of Athens is seeking energetic and highly motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors to join our seasonal maintenance team. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire to apply. Applicants will be required to work weekends. This is a seasonal position expected to last about 120 days. Job Duties:
- Maintenance and preparation of athletic fields
- Mowing and weeding
- Lifting heavy materials
- Working in adverse weather conditions
- Custodial work in restrooms and park facilities
- Equipment operation
- Litter and refuse disposal
Job Specifications and Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Commitment to working the entire season strongly preferred
The City may consider any other equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
