CAE is an international technology company specialised in training and operational support solutions in civil aviation and defence and security.
The Corporate Secretarys Office responsible for the corporate governance of CAE and its network of 160 subsidiaries in 40 countries is seeking a motivated Summer Student to support a major transformation initiative within the Legal Department as it prepares its transition to a next generation entity management system.
What Youll Do:
Support the review organization and migrationreadiness of corporate records of CAE and its subsidiaries.
Conduct detailed verification of entitylevel information to ensure accuracy completeness and consistency within the current entity management system.
Assist in identifying data gaps or discrepancies and coordinating corrective actions with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare and organize documentation required for the transition to a new entity management system including filing structures and standardized naming conventions.
Assist in the archiving of historical corporate documents following CAEs corporate policies and recordsmanagement standards.
Support the implementation of corporate reorganizations (e.g. amalgamations continuances dissolutions).
Support general administrative tasks related to corporate governance and legal recordkeeping.
Participate in ad hoc projects within the Legal Department as required.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Strong interest in corporate law governance legal operations or records management.
Enrolment in an accredited law program paralegal studies program or related post-secondary program.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint).
Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software in particular corporate records management systems.
Ability to manage multiple tasks organize information effectively and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills in French and English both verbal and written.
Professionalism discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to teambased projects.
Preferred Education
Pursuing a technical or undergraduate degree in Law or related field with minumum of one year of school completed
Location of the internship is in Montreal
Internship will be carried out in Hybrid mode
*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.
