This internship will allow you to work at the heart of the companys operational excellence sustainability and eco-design initiatives.
In this role you will play a key part in the development of an AI agent based on Large Language Models (LLMs) as well as in the creation of analytical tools and Power BI dashboards to assess the departments operational regulatory and environmental performance.
The Role
As an intern you will join the Operational Excellence & Sustainable Procurement team and collaborate closely with Procurement Sustainability and Engineering teams. Your primary mandate will be to develop Power BI tools to track departmental performance and contribute to applied AI projects.
Your Main Responsibilities:
1)Power BI development for operational performance tracking
Build and enhance data models related to operational and supplier performance.
Develop dashboards to track progress against departmental objectives
Automate updates of key performance indicators for continuous improvement initiatives (Power Query DAX internal APIs)
2) Artificial Intelligence for EcoDesign and Emission Calculations
Contribute to the development of AI tools supporting lifecycle assessment (LCA) and lowcarbon material selection.
Support the creation of an AI agent capable of estimating or predicting emissions for products under development.
Help automate regulatory and environmental analyses.
3) Data Management and Quality
Clean structure and document data from multiple internal and external sources.
Improve data quality and optimize integration pipelines.
4) Cross-functional collaboration
Work with the Procurement Sustainability and Engineering teams to support decarbonization initiatives.
Contribute to internal reports and executive presentations.
5) Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
Support the collection and verification of product environmental data to ensure compliance with regulations
Assess supplier maturity in decarbonization and environmental risk management.
Contribute to the design of an LLMbased AI agent capable of querying internal databases interpreting technical documents and identifying potential noncompliance risks.
Collaborate on Power BI reports that support risk tracking supplier performance and compliance levels integrating insights generated by the AI agent
Our ideal candidate:
Strong data analysis skills.
A genuine interest in change management the environment artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.
Autonomy and flexibility in organizing their work.
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Required: Power Query Power BI and DAX.
Strongly preferred: Familiarity with LLMbased tools and generative AI.
Required: Bilingualism (English and French)
Preferred Education
Pursuing bachelorlevel student specializing in business analytics environmental engineering or sustainable development
Location of the internship is in Montreal
Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode
