About the Role:

This role is ideal for a Notary with a strong interest in business and commercial law who is looking to work closely with entrepreneurs and companies on a wide range of legal matters. You will play a key role in supporting clients through the lifecycle of their business from incorporation to structuring transactions and ongoing advisory.

The position offers a mix of autonomy and teamwork allowing you to manage files independently while collaborating with experienced professionals on more complex mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise clients on business law matters including incorporations reorganizations and corporate governance
Draft review and authenticate notarial deeds and legal documents related to commercial transactions
Assist with business acquisitions mergers and restructurings
Prepare and review shareholder agreements partnership agreements and corporate resolutions
Conduct legal research to support business-related matters and transactions
Manage files from initiation to completion ensuring compliance and accuracy
Coordinate with clients accountants financial advisors and other stakeholders
Identify and mitigate legal risks in business operations and transactions

Qualifications:

Strong expertise in business and commercial law
Licensed Notary (or eligible to practice in Quebec)
Proven experience in handling corporate and commercial files
Strong drafting and legal documentation skills
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
Proficiency in legal and notarial software/tools
