Overview

Susquehanna is seeking a Security Engineer to joinourSydney team supporting the firms ambitious growthobjectiveswhile safeguarding ourinformation technology.Byleveragingthe experience and diverse backgrounds of our global security team members we secure our environment and efficientlymaintainSusquehannas competitive advantage. With the freedom to explore available technologies wecandesign theoptimalsolution for each problem.

In this role you will:

Engineer and implement authentication and privileged access controls harden endpoints and applications implement threat prevention controls and design and manage Susquehannas cloud security posture.

Work on diverse projects including new implementations upgrades and custom automation across the entire technology organization.

Work with other technical and business teams allowing you to understand the relationship between the solutions you are building the technologies they interact with and the business that isleveragingthem.

Share responsibility for triaging and resolving connectivity issues (such as firewalls and proxies)assistwith walk-up enquiries and partner with teams to build troubleshoot and support bespoke solutions.

Adapt to evolving priorities and assumeadditionalresponsibilities as needed to support team and organizationalobjectives.

What were looking for

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5years of hands-on experience in a security engineering or operational security role withdemonstratedexpertisein endpoint security and hardening IAM/PAM cloud and edge security andrelated technicalsecurity controls.
Good understanding of operating systems internals and hardening
Experience with scripting or automation using languages such as Python PowerShell Bash or similar required.
Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP routing and switching with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues end-to-end across large distributed environments.
