We are seeking an accomplished Cardiothoracic Surgeon to serve as the Surgical Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Program providing strategic leadership and advancing excellence in surgical care program growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and clinical leadership for the surgical component of the Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Program.
Collaborate with the Medical Director heart failure cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
Perform heart transplants LVAD implantations and other advanced cardiac surgical procedures.
Oversee surgical protocols quality metrics and program development initiatives.
Participate in recruitment mentorship and education of surgical staff and trainees.
Engage in research clinical trials and academic activities as desired.
Qualified Candidates:
Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Significant experience in heart transplantation and durable/temporary MCS implantation.
Demonstrated leadership ability and track record of excellence in surgical outcomes and program development.
Eligible for medical licensure in Texas.
Commitment to advancing innovation research and education in advanced heart failure and transplantation.
Unrestricted full Texas licensed (or eligible)
