About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will deliver engaging lessons that develop pupils technical skills and creative thinking.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)
Planning and delivering engaging practical lessons using a range of media
Encouraging pupils to develop their own artistic style and creativity
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations
Contributing to curriculum development within the department
Supporting extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions or competitions
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Art
Be confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be passionate about creative education
Work effectively within a collaborative and innovative department
