About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Cessnock District Hospital you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality person-centred care across our medical and surgical wards. You will work closely with patients families and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe compassionate and coordinated care throughout each patients journey.

No two days are the same you will have the opportunity to utilise and strengthen your clinical skills respond to changing patient needs and contribute to positive outcomes for the community you serve.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe high-quality and person-centred nursing care
Advocate for patients and support informed decision-making
Recognise and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Contribute to discharge planning through appropriate referrals and coordination of care
Delegate tasks appropriately to Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best patient outcomes

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
