Job Summary/Description:

The Manager of Content Development leads daily editorial operations and oversees content strategy to ensure accuracy quality and timely content delivery across platforms. This senior role bridges editorial and production teams manages newsroom workflows and logistics and ensures alignment with organizational goals. The manager drives audience engagement through strong editorial judgment digital media expertise critical decision-making and leadership that fosters collaboration innovation and high journalistic standards.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead day-to-day operations ensuring clear content flow timely communication coordination and distribution of content across the newsroom.
- Assign crews in the field and support operational coverage needs.
- Create and maintain 24/7 scheduling for newsroom staff.
- Run dayside and afternoon editorial meetings as needed.
- Make critical coverage decisions for daily and longer-term story development.
- Monitor story developments locally and nationally; proactively update newsroom stakeholders throughout the day.
- Communicate new and breaking content to managers producers and newsroom staff.
- Coordinate with production partners to ensure content is packaged appropriately for digital publishing and multi-platform distribution.
- Edit Reporter content for accuracy clarity style and tone.
- Ensure high journalistic standards and compliance with applicable ethical guidelines.
- Maintain consistent editorial standards across all platforms

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Schedule flexibility is a must.
- This is a full-time hourly position and may include working overnight holidays and weekends as needed.
