Job Summary
JOB PURPOSE:
The Assistant Stock Controller will be responsible for the following:
- Assist the Stock Controller in his responsibilities of managing of stock-holding in order to provide an excellent support service to the business and to receive and distribute goods procured.
- Be responsible for Store-keeping requirements and assist the team of Storemen with their duties.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Duties include but will not be limited to:
Management of stock levels:
- Take responsibility for stock under control.
- Reduce stock to minimum level that still support operations without running out of stock.
- Assist Store Manager with the management and maintenance of optimum stock levels.
Service Level:
- Provide a support service to all departments.
- Investigate and action queries promptly.
- Liaise with suppliers in terms of the logistics of deliveries.
Compliance:
- Conduct work in line with policies and procedures.
- Assist with stock counts.
- Responsible for transfer and receipt transactions of fuel and other stock items as required.
- Audit of transfer orders shipment of orders and GRVs.
House Keeping:
- Compliance with housekeeping standards and procedures Safety Environment and Food Safety.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Matric
- Storekeeping/Warehousing qualification
- At least 5 years experience in storekeeping/warehousing and stock management/ordering
- Exposure to Microsoft Navision(NAV) would be advantageous.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong administrative skills

- Verbal and written communication skills Afrikaans English
- Computer literacy MS Office(with a high proficiency in MS Excel)
