We are establishing a new Competence Center for Data & AI in Budapest. As part of this growth we are looking for a Data Scientist who will support international projects in the financial services domain.
You will work on machine learning models that improve decision-making in areas such as risk fraud detection customer analytics and regulatory compliance with the opportunity to collaborate closely with AI engineers and domain experts.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Develop and validate ML models for financial services (risk fraud customer insights compliance).
Work with structured and unstructured data ensuring model quality and interpretability.
Cooperate with business/domain experts to understand requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
Ensure compliance with data regulations (GDPR) and internal quality standards.
Support model deployment monitoring and lifecycle management in collaboration with DevOps teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Masters degree in Data Science Computer Science Mathematics or a related technical field.
Strong experience with Python and ML frameworks (scikit-learn PyTorch TensorFlow).
Knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning feature engineering and model evaluation.
Experience working with unstructured data (text analytics NLP) is an advantage.
Familiarity with MLOps principles and CI/CD practices.
English at a professional working level (C1).
Ability to work in an international distributed team environment.
Nice to Have
Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
Understanding of explainability techniques (SHAP LIME).
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
Experience with Databricks platform
Familiarity with graph databases or semantic technologies (not required).
